Ingredients
Ridge gourd - 2 to 3,
Green chili - 1,
Peanut oil - 1 tbsp,
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp,
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp,
Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp,
Salt - to taste,
Sugar - pinch,
Hot water - 1 to 2 tbsp.
Method
Wash and dry ridge gourd well. Remove top and bottom part. Taste to check whether the ridge gourd is bitter or not.
Peel off the skin.
Roughly chop peeled skin as per given below image along with green chili.
In a pan, heat oil over medium high flame. Add mustard seeds followed by cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
Now add chopped ridge gourd peel along with chopped green chili.
Now add 1 to 2 tbsp warm water. Cook covered for 5 to 6 minutes till it gets well cooked. Cook and stir in-between fro even cooking.
Now add pinch of sugar and mix well. Turn off the flame and remove from the heat.
Notes
Adjust amount of ingredients as per taste.
Serve with meal.
