Ingredients
Jaggery - 1 cup,
Water - 2/3 cup.
Method
In a pan, add jaggery followed by water.
Let it boil over medium flame for 12 to 15 minutes.
Keep stirring in between to prevent sticking into the bottom of pan.
Once it gets one string consistency, turn off the flame.
Now let it come to room temperature. Store into an airtight glass container. Store up to 2 to 3 months in refrigerator.
Notes
This syrup can be a good replacement of sugar, which is a healthier optional.
Can make different types of Sharbats using jaggery syrup.
Here, i am using pure desi gud/jaggery.
